DO I NEED A DOULA?
Doulas nurture, support and offer expert guidance for families during their pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum time. There is incredible evidence that shows how doulas improve outcomes!
ARE CLASSES REALLY NECESSARY?
Breastfeeding education is an important part of your preparation for birth and postpartum. Education reduces fear and promoting better outcomes. Traditionally expecting parents choose group classes to gain information and commune with the other expecting parents. For varying reasons group classes don’t work for all. Private classes are a great option. Private classes cover the same materials covered in group class and have the added bonus of focusing only on you.
DONA (Doulas of North America) is a doula training and certification organization. As a DONA doula, I adhere to the DONA standard of practice. I am currently working toward certification.
